It’s such a joy to watch the seasons change at my home at Blessings Farm. Each thing in nature has its moment to shine. Today, I noticed the yellow daisies by the backyard fence were just beginning to pop open in golden dots of sunshine. For two or three weeks, it’s their time to shine while the sheep graze peacefully in the pasture behind them. I’m going to enjoy them while they’re here, before the frost steps in. – So friends, what is God’s nature bringing to your backyard right now?

I love the variety of natural settings we enjoy in America! My setting is quite different from yours. I live among the redwoods in California. You can see a picture of the park I walk in, on my Facebook page. We have deer, foxes (occasionally), coyotes, abundant birds, racoons, squirrels, and even mountain lions around here. Because of the drought, we’re seeing a lot more wildlife activity. We don’t walk at dawn or dusk–to dangerous with the lions! Who’d have thought, considering we are so close to the hugely populated Silicon Valley/Bay Area?!

I lived in California many years ago when I was 12 years old. I went to school in a pretty little town called Woodlake, not too far from Fresno. My family and I would go to Sequoia (sp?) National Forest and stand in awe by the magnificent redwood trees. It is beautiful where you live, Columba. What a wonderful, inspiring place to walk! As you can tell by my blogs, I’m a lover of God’s Nature too. So sorry about the drought and how it’s affecting the animals. – Let’s please keep in touch.
