Because I’m the only English teacher at my high school, I stay very busy with my day job. I teach grades 10, 11, and 12, as well as Pre-AP English 10, AP Language and Composition 11, and AP Literature and Composition 12. I’ve taught English for 20 years, both at the high school and college levels. Teaching is very rewarding. In between teaching and grading papers, I write.

Donna is fulfilling her dream of writing full-time after teaching high school and university English for 21 years. She has a Ph.D. in Creative Writing and American and British Literature from Oklahoma State University. Donna enjoys family vacations, portrait sketching, gardening, and playing classical music on her 1880s piano.
Welcome, everyone, to Blessings Farm! In my yard stands a huge 200-year-old oak tree. I’m fascinated by its strength, endurance, and deep roots.Trees are prominent in my writing, symbolic of strong characters who believe in the permanence of family. Blessings Farm is located near the beautiful Ozark Mountains of northwest Arkansas.
