I’m pleased with my progress on GRACE IS A MOUNTAIN, my second novel in the McKONNA RANCH series. Each morning, I write two and a half pages before I go to my teaching job and also write on the weekend when time permits. I’m settling into a routine of writing a chapter in a spiral notebook, then adding the chapter on my laptop before moving on to the next chapter. I’m excited about my characters, who by now are like a real family to me. Since the setting to my current novel is 1866, the children have grown up to be strong young men and women.
So, writers, what are your writing routines? What works best for you? Do your characters become family to you?
