Okay, I know he looks a little familiar. But this is Sky Banyon, a veterinarian/rancher, the brother of Rain Banyon in my first ranch novel, and my hero in my current work in progress. Sky has just returned from Wyoming to the Rocking B Ranch with his eight-year-old son. He’s lost his wife, and he’s bringing Blaze home to be with family. But he runs into Laila again, and sparks fly….
Donna is fulfilling her dream of writing full-time after teaching high school and university English for 21 years. She has a Ph.D. in Creative Writing and American and British Literature from Oklahoma State University. Donna enjoys family vacations, portrait sketching, gardening, and playing classical music on her 1880s piano.

I’m fascinated by its strength, endurance, and deep roots.Trees are prominent in my writing, symbolic of strong characters who believe in the permanence of family. Blessings Farm is located near the beautiful Ozark Mountains of northwest Arkansas.

Thank you, Melanie! I’ll admit, I had some family help coming up with an “R” name that would fit with Rebel’s two other brothers–Rain (in the first Banyon Ranch novel of the series), and Ridge (who will be in the third novel). Their full-blood Cherokee mother named them.
